The Fighting Game Community is alive and well in Atlantic Canada. Fifty plus players have descended on Saint John, NB for Fight For Infinity 5 - an all weekend event of competitive fighting games. Fighters will be playing Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Street Fighter Third Strike, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and Persona 4 Arena. Players will compete in 1v1’s, 3v3s, money matchups, and provincial team showdowns to crown champions across all games.

UPDATE 24 Feb: Alberta has joined the Alliance through Project X LAN based out of Calgary.
TORONTO, ON February 11, 2013 – Competitive gamers will go head to head this year in the first Canadian-grown national tournament, dubbed the eSports Canada Alliance. During the spring and summer, challengers will meet at local tournaments in cities across Canada to qualify for placement in high-level provincial finals in August with the grand finals taking place in September. The Canadian champion will receive a trip to Korea to represent Canada at the International eSports Federation 2013 World Championship in South Korea.
